Jesse Campbell
V.P. of Risk Management - OcVibe & Anaheim Ducks

Jesse Campbell is currently the Vice President, Risk Management for Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club, LLC and OC Sports & Entertainment, LLC. Jesse oversees all aspects of risk management, including but not limited to, insurance procurement, claims management, loss control, safety, health, and compliance.

Jesse started his career in insurance at a general liability carrier based in Maryland insuring high profile nightclubs, bars, and restaurants throughout the country. Afterwards he assisted in developing the start-up MGA, Entertainment Risk, which also focused on extending general liability insurance, where we managed Loss Control and Risk Management.

Jesse then transitioned into the world of major league sports. He is the former Director of Risk Management for Forty Niners Football Company, LLC and also held this title at Hollywood Park Management Company, LLC where he worked on securing construction related insurance for Sofi Stadium.

Jesse holds a Bachelor of Arts from Florida A&M University and a Juris Doctorate from American University, Washington College of Law.



Ruth Aguilera
Director, Risk Management - Los Angeles Angels

Ruth Aguilera is entering her third season as the Director of Risk Management for the Los Angeles Angels. Ruth manages the workers' compensation program, oversees general liability and auto claims, works with the training staff on complex medical issues, and assists with safety to ensure Cal OSHA compliance. Ruth also works with the MLB as an advisor on workers' compensation matters. As a former practicing workers' compensation attorney, Ruth has 20 years of legal knowledge and experience in handling claims. Prior to working for the Angels, Ruth worked in the retail sector as the Director of Risk Management for St. John Knits. Ruth transitioned into the risk management field as it was a perfect fit to utilize her expertise to help employers reduce risk.

Ruth graduated from Loyola Law School and is licensed to practice law in the state of California. Ruth enjoys donating her time by speaking at career day events through the Angels Foundation. In her free time, you will find Ruth at Disneyland, spending family time with her niece and nephew.



David Williams
Risk Manager Director, Venues - Los Angeles Clippers

David Williams has extensive experience leading risk management teams in various sectors, including Dave & Buster's, Raising Cane's, California Pizza Kitchen, Yaamava Resort & Casino, and Compass @ Google. Currently, he is heading risk management for Halo Sports & Entertainment, an umbrella brand encompassing the LA Clippers, San Diego Clippers (G League), Intuit Dome, and Kia Forum. David holds an MS in Management from Texas A&M University - Commerce and carries an ARM designation.

Michelle Darringer
Risk Manager, L.A. Dodgers

Michelle has over 35 years of Risk Management experience specializing in Entertainment & Sports. Currently Michelle is the Vice President for the Los Angeles Dodgers where she is an integral part of the legal team handling Risk Management and Safety for their teams. She started her career for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer & United Artists. Afterwards she went to work for Twentieth Century Fox/Fox Entertainment Group where she was Vice President of Risk Management for 12 years insuring and working on films like Titanic. Michelle then moved to Central California and started a Global Risk Management Department for MGA Entertainment & The Little Tikes Company.

She has previously served on the board and is a past President of the LA Chapter of RIMS.

Lastly, in her spare time, Michelle continues to work as a Reserve Police Officer and Crisis Negotiator for the City of Manhattan Beach.



Ross Pebley, Jr.
Vice President, Risk Management, AEG

Ross Pebley is Senior Vice President of Risk Management for AEG. In Pebley's role in AEG's Risk Management, his duties are to establish and manage property, casualty, entertainment & financial risk insurance programs, provide underwriting data, complete insurance applications, participate in the negotiation of renewals, compare policy terms and conditions to quotations, monitor broker service, negotiate terms of broker services, and manage the daily insurance and risk management needs of the company.

Having joined AEG in 2017, Pebley identifies and evaluates the company's exposure to loss through risk identification, assessment and control, monitors contracts for insurance and indemnification issues related to third party vendors, lessees, etc. Additional responsibilities include monitoring insurance reserve accounts, allocating premium to the business units, provide and validate accuracy of insurance audits, oversee his departmental budget, premium accounting & invoice reconciliation. He assists corporate accounting in the collection of premiums by resolving disputes in charges with the business units and verifies and submits for payment insurance company claim billings for retrospective rating plans & deductible programs.

Pebley's 30-plus years of experience includes leadership roles with several corporations including serving as both the U.S. Entertainment Practice Leader and Senior Vice President in the Global Risk Management Casualty department for Marsh USA, where he was responsible for servicing Marsh USA's entertainment clients, assisting with identification of complex risk issues and providing risk solutions and insurance products for property, casualty and entertainment clients.

Prior to joining Marsh USA, Pebley worked at DreamWorks Studios and DreamWorks Animation as the Head of Risk Management, where he was responsible for all aspects of property and casualty risk management.

Pebley took his B.A. from the University of Kansas.

Executive Vice President, Chief Sales Officer, NFP

Mike is responsible for driving the strategic direction of our sales organization and cultivating a competitive edge in our sales activities that increases our market share, revenue and brand awareness. His responsibilities include expanding opportunities with clients through integrated sales initiatives that leverage our growing expertise and capabilities across regions, business lines and solutions, while working with regional sales leaders to provide clarity on goals, facilitate the sharing of best practices and ensure consistency in our sales efforts. Mike also plays an active role in the company's diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging strategy, serving as a trusted advisor to NFP leaders on related issues. In everything he does, Mike is motivated by opportunities to create connections and cultivate relationships, amplify ideas, encourage perseverance and inspire teams to new levels of success. Mike joined NFP in 2006 and has played an increasingly instrumental role in aligning the organization's business guidelines with its vision and culture. Before joining NFP, he spent more than 14 years with John Hancock Financial Services where his successes included building a thriving relationship between John Hancock and NFP. Mike is an active participant in a variety of industry and community organizations, serving as chair of the Finseca Board of Directors, on the Board of Trustees for Suffolk University and The American College of Financial Services, and on the Board of Directors of LL Global, the nonprofit parent company for LIMRA and LOMA. He is also an engaged supporter of Nationwide's Financial Alliance for Racial Equity, the No Books No Ball Basketball Program and the Roxbury YMCA. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from American International College.
