Robert Ortega, Alliant (Broker)

Robert is currently an Account Manager Lead for Alliant's Construction Services Group out of Los Angeles, CA. Robert has over 8 years of increasingly responsible experience in the retail brokerage arena; marketing, brokering, and implementing complex insurance programs on behalf of clients.


Allan Moreno, N2G Worldwide Insurance Services (Carrier)

Allan Moreno - Senior Director of Distribution N2G Worldwide Insurance Services
  • Currently 2.5 years at N2G Worldwide Insurance Services.
  • State of California property and casualty producer license, AINS Designation
  • 25 years in insurance between the Broker and the Carrier side. 4 years at Aon - Large Casualty, 6 years at Willis - Large Casualty, 11 years at Zurich North America - Business Development Leader, 2.5 years at Marsh & Mclennan Agencies - Marketing Executive, 1 year at Foresight Insurance - Vice President Distribution.



Luis Juarez, Beckman Coulter (Risk Manager)

Luis Juarez is the Risk & Insurance Mgr. at Beckman Coulter, Inc. where he oversees the Workers' Comp & Auto Liability programs. He has over 20 years of experience in the Workers' Comp and Risk Management industry. His prior experience includes working as a Workers' Comp Field Investigator, Workers' Comp Claims Adjuster and the past 14 years has been on the Risk Management side. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies from the University of LaVerne, and holds the W.C.C.P. and A.R.M. designations.


Bob Howarth, ABM (Safety Professional)

Bob is a Certified Safety Professional with thirty-nine years of experience providing strategic safety and health leadership across various industries, including theme parks, hospitality, entertainment, food manufacturing, and building services. Currently, Bob serves as the Sr. Director of Environment, Health, and Safety at ABM Industry Groups, LLC. In this role, he leads the organization's Safety Services Group, developing safety programs, supporting data systems & analytics and safety resources for its operations in the commercial real estate, distribution, sports, entertainment, and municipal operations. Previously, Bob was the Corporate Safety Director at Meruelo Group, LLC, where he provided strategic direction and support to foster a culture of safety. At Disney Experiences, he managed comprehensive safety, health, and food safety programs, significantly reducing employee injury rates and implementing key safety initiatives for the Disneyland Resort in California. Bob began his safety career at Nestle USA, following his honorable discharge from the United States Navy as an Ensign. He holds a Master of Science in Occupational Safety and Health and a Bachelor of Science in Safety Science from the University of Southern California. Bob is recognized for his strong leadership, planning, and implementation skills, as well as his ability to develop strategic business partnerships. He is an accomplished public speaker and presenter, regularly invited to speak to health and safety organizations. Outside of work, Bob enjoys movies, is an avid USC and LA Lakers fan and spending time with family.


Michelle Ramirez, Travelers (Moderator)

Michelle Ramirez is the Managing Director of the National Casualty team in Southern California at Travelers, which provides risk management solutions to large clients. She has been at Travelers for 15 years. She started her career at Liberty Mutual where she held various roles including Auto Liability Claims and Direct Sales Distribution.

Her passion project is serving as President of LiNC - which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing at-risk youth with professional development opportunities and career pathways into the insurance & risk management industries.
Michelle earned both her Bachelors in Business Administration and MBA from Loyola Marymount University.
